We are hiring! Our company is merrily looking for a candidate to fill the position of Associate Specialist - Payroll. For those of you who live in Petaling Jaya and its surrounding areas, we need you to then join our company office, The Chartered Institute Of Management Accountants, and able to under a full time working hours.

If you have experience in the field of Accounting/Finance & General/Cost Accounting with at least Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma & Professional Degree, professional, honest, and disciplined, we will enthusiastically hearing from you to join our company.

We offer you the salary rates ranging from RM 4,200 - RM 4,600. The provision pertaining to the average starting initial salary we offer may change if you meet or even beyond the minimum requirement we are looking for in accordance with our company HRD agreement.

What you will be doing:

Lead and manage the assigned region’s monthly payroll processing with the payroll vendor capturing all changes and deviations advised by the respective regions point of contact, in a timely and accurate manner. Accountable to verify and validate all payroll input to ensure accuracy and in compliance and in sync with the internal audit framework.

What you will do:

  • Accountable to process monthly end to end payroll of multiple countries in accordance with established global policy, process and compliance framework.
  • Responsible and accountable to verify and validate all monthly payroll input given by the point of contact.
  • Accountable to monitor & ensure compliance to payroll related regulatory/ statutory requirements in each jurisdiction.
  • Effectively manage relationship with HR, finance, regional heads, banks and third-party vendors for seamless delivery. E.g. payroll policy interpretation, pay computations, direct deposits, transmit files to third party vendors.
  • Manage workflows to capture all pay elements (Hires, exits, increments etc.)
  • Responsible to ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll as per Payroll Schedule/ Calendar in accordance with SLA.
  • Prepare Payroll Calendar and update SLA/Checklist.
  • Timely escalation of process challenges and risks to supervisor and support implement solution.
  • Support deliver internal and external audit requirements.
  • Support analytical review of payroll transactions to identify and rectify errors and omissions.
  • Identify and implement agreed continuous improvement opportunities for assigned processes including UAT tests.
  • Document work practices and continuously support streamlining processes to improve operation efficiency.
  • Responsible to manage all end to end escalation issues for Level 2 payroll support.
  • Support generate payroll-related reports ensuring data confidentiality.
  • Handle PO billing or any payment execution for country payroll.
  • Responsible to update all Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to ensure document is up-to-date.
  • Review timesheet submissions for accuracy and completeness; troubleshott, identify and rectify errors and make necessary adjustments.
  • Calculate employee payroll deductions, including taxes and benefit premiums.
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmation reports.
  • Ensure proper tax treatment of employer paid benefits

What we are looking for:

  • Junior level of related payroll experiences in BPO/HR Shared Service industry.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance or accounting
  • Hands on experience with regional payroll activities.
  • Ability to perform full-set of variance checking for all payroll reports.
  • Intermediate or higher skill with Excel, Word and Oracle Fusion HCM.
