The position reports to the Team Lead: Fraud

Job Overview:

Fraud Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of subscriber information, detecting and preventing fraudulent activity, and taking necessary actions to mitigate fraud. They need strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure while meeting KPIs and deadlines.

Your work life:

  • Conducting post-activation evaluations on subscriber information to verify the authenticity as per the Post Activation Policy Procedures
  • Meeting the standard turnaround time (KPI) for post-activation verification
  • Entering correct information into the CRM system after verification and maintaining accurate data in the subscriber’s master file
  • Taking pre-emptive measures such as suspending or reconnecting accounts, if necessary, once verified, in compliance with Post Activation Procedures
  • Fully comprehending the fraud mitigation tools used by the Fraud Management Section such as the Fraud Management System (FMS)
  • Monitoring alarms generated by FMS on a daily basis and checking the validity of alarms by verifying related SENs and CDRs
  • Investigating reported and detected fraud cases and updating relevant parties on investigation progress and results
  • Escalating suspected fraudulent accounts to the investigation team
  • Checking usage trends and taking necessary actions on fraudulent accounts, such as restricting service and referring cases to investigation or credit collection units
  • Updating notes in CRM and closing cases in FMS
  • Preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports on fraud activities and trends

To be considered, you’ll need:

  • Diploma or Degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in Telecommunications, Banking or Finance
  • Good knowledge of company products and services
  • Proficient in computer operating and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
  • Strong accounting and banking knowledge, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with various internal and external parties
  • Capable of communicating and conducting interviews for any reported suspicious or fraudulent activities
  • Ability to make recommendations promptly
  • Willingness to work beyond regular working hours, including weekends and public holidays
  • Customer service-oriented
  • Familiarity with Activation Procedures and Telco Billing Systems
