The initial salary that we can offer is quite competitive with a range of RM 1,600 - RM 3,700. If the credibility and experience that the candidate has exceeds the minimum criteria we need, the salary can change and adjusted according to the decisions of our company's HRD agreement.

We are seeking a talented Support Engineer to join our team. As Support Engineer, you will primarily focus on Level-1/2 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues when there is escalation. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet their business requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience with various system, network and storage related technologies and services.

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Interact with clients and internal to understand complex requirements to resolve cases;
  • Support simple to complex system environments with various system related and services (e.g., server, storage, backups, virtualization, Hyperconverge (HCI) and etc);
  • Perform system maintenance (Preventive Maintenance) and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, firmware upgrades and security configurations as needed;
  • Able to carry out troubleshooting and solve technical issues and escalate unresolved problems to the relevant parties in supporting customer request;
  • Serve periodically on the customer service desk, providing third line telephonic, remote, and on-site support and problem management with the use of ticketing tool;
  • Provide customer support through on-site installation as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service and repair of equipment and system;
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
  • Take ownership of relevant technologies according to domain or specialization and improvement independently;
  • Experience on a service desk level to reply cases on SLA and adhere to rotational standby support.

Requirements :

  • Experienced candidates in related field is an advantage;
  • Diploma in Engineering, or a related field, fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Good understanding of system technologies, including server, storage, virtualization, network, HCI, OS;
  • Communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Willing to travel interstate if required;
  • Willing to work beyond office hours on standby rotational support;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and eager for self-improvement;
  • Additional knowledge pertaining to Endpoint Privilege Management, Remote Support (RS) and Privileged Remote Access (PRA) are advantage.
  • Hands-on experience in products such as Huawei, HPE, Dell, Nutanix, Ivanti etc;
  • Good command in English and Bahasa Malaysia;
  • Value added if advance system related certification;
  • Possess own transport and valid driving license.
