Our company is currently seeking employees to fill the position as Assistant Manager, Operations – Accommodations and Logistics. The average starting salary we can offer you is in the range of RM 1,600 - RM 3,700. If you have credibility beyond the minimum criteria we are looking for, the provisions regarding the average initial salary we offer may change according to our company HRD agreement.

The position holder is required to manage, monitor and oversee the acquisition, administration and management of student hostels, related facilities, and logistics and infrastructures. Aside from assisting the Chief Executive on other college operational-related matters to ensure support services are provided efficiently and effectively.  

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible and accountable to assist in the development, advancement and enhancement of the operational strategy of the department in line with the overall college’s strategic plans and direction;
  • Coordinate, manage and monitor the execution of work of the assigned unit within the department, while ensuring all related documentation and filing are intact and up-to-date;
  • Implement, manage and improvise processes and policies to support operational plans, inclusive of student hostel occupancy, inventories, tenancy agreements, accommodation, hostel facilities and related infrastructure, and logistics;
  • Support the CE in the development of strategic plans for operational activities, construction, renovations and the upkeep of new and upgraded hostels and related facilities;
  • Monitor and manage the operations of the assigned area in compliance with the relevant internal and external regulations and practices;
  • Provide leadership and supervision to subordinates to ensure all staff performance within the department is managed appropriately and consistent with the expectations of the college;
  • Ensure that fair allocation of processes and workload is in place;
  • Ensure staff has access to the necessary support and resources that enable them to contribute and perform efficiently and effectively while developing their skills and experience;
  • Cultivate a culture of excellent cooperation and respect both within and beyond the department and
  • Ensure manpower resources are being used effectively and efficiently;
  • Review, prepare, control and keep track of all related budget and financial expenditures;
  • Liaise with local government agencies, private contractors, suppliers, vendors, and other external parties concerning facilities, contract issuance, resource acquisition and utilization, other relevant institutions and industries; and
  • Assist in the planning of effective strategies for the financial well-being of the college with regard to operational matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the related field;
  • Knowledge in managing workforce and drive them toward a good adaptation of the organisation policy and working environment and culture;
  • Have good managerial, listening, speaking and decision-making skills;
  • Ability to work in collaboration as a team and diffuse any hostile work situations; and
  • Possess knowledge of related local, state and federal employment laws.
