We are looking for a Manager of Data Labelers and Annotators to oversee our team generating AI datasets. The role involves managing a team of 10-15 data labelers, providing guidelines and feedback to ensure high-quality work, monitoring progress and productivity, and helping scale our data labeling programs. This position requires strong leadership abilities, expertise with data labeling and AI datasets, and strong project management skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of 10+ data labelers and annotators who are tasked with creating AI datasets for video, audio, transcripts, chat threads, emails, and other documents.
- Develop clear guidelines, rubrics, and processes to ensure accurate and consistent data labeling.
- Provide regular feedback, performance reviews, and coaching to data labelers.
- Track team progress, identify roadblocks, and make changes to meet data labeling goals and targets.
- Help scale data labeling programs through recruitment, building efficiencies, and process improvements.
- Ensure high quality of summarized data and a good experience for data labelers.
Requirements
- 3+ years managing data labeling or data annotation teams, preferably for NLP datasets.
- Fluent in English with excellent reading / writing comprehension.
- Proficiency with data labeling, spreadsheets, project management platforms.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach remote teams.
- Expertise with data validation, quality standards, and optimizing productivity.
- Fluency in English required; fluency in Filipino or other regional languages a plus.
- Bonus: Coding and scripting skills
