Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality software design and architecture
- Identify, prioritise and execute tasks in the software development life cycle
- Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code
- Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting
- Review and debug code
- Perform validation and verification testing
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products
- Document development phases and monitor systems
- Ensure software is up-to-date with the latest technologies
Skills and Qualifications
- At least 4 years of experience as a programmer
- Proven experience in software development, automation, scripting and project management
- Experience using system monitoring tools and automated testing frameworks
- In-depth knowledge of selected programming languages (e.g. NodeJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python) with the ability to create reusable packages through NPM
- Knowledge of the Node JS framework (NestJS, ExpressJS) and other serverless frameworks (e.g. Serverless Framework, and Cloudflare Workers)
- In-depth knowledge of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)
- Knowledge of APIs protocols (e.g WebSocket, Rest API, GraphQL, GRPC)
- Knowledge of BigQuery and Data Studio
- Knowledge of Google Analytics and Tag Managers
- Knowledge of cloud services (e.g AWS, Azure, Digital Ocean)
- Knowledge of orchestration services (e.g Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Familiarity with various operating systems (Linux, Mac OS, Windows)
- Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work with the remote team with constant communication
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Minimum BSc/BA in Computer Science or a related degree
