About the role

We are seeking a Senior/Executive, Business Development who will be responsible for driving new business revenues from Insurance companies/ corporate companies, partners and TPAs (Third Party Administrators). You should have minimally 2 years of work experience to apply for this position.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with business clients to drive revenue growth (sales) for our company. You will also work closely with our marketing and customer service teams (Ops) to ensure a seamless customer experience.The ideal candidate will have a mindset of continuous improvement and will demonstrate curiosity, collaboration and the ability to deal with ambiguity, in a start-up environment.

This role reports directly to the Principal Executive, Business Development, Malaysia.

A summary of the key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Coordinate and drive new business revenues from potential partners including insurance, corporate partners, TPAs, providers and others. 
  • Generate and qualify new leads and be resourceful in using multiple approaches to penetrate and win prospective accounts and customers.
  • Engage and collaborate with internal stakeholders (Product, Marketing, Ops, Provider Management, etc) to localize and/or customize the products/solutions suitable for Malaysia, giving Doctor Anywhere a competitive advantage in winning and closing deals and be able to hit sales targets.
  • Ability to assist on ground (if necessary) and execute and implement campaigns.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required or assigned.

About you

  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 2 years of work experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships and persuade others
  • Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Able to handle changes and with continuous improvement mentality
  • Excellent team player, self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Genuine curiosity and strong desire to continuously learn and grow
  • Experience of working within a tech startup and hyper-growth environment would be a bonus
  • Experience closing deals with Insurers, Insurance Brokers, TPAs & corporate companies directly is an added advantage.
  • A start-up attitude – highly collaborative with an entrepreneurial, roll-up-your sleeves attitude, pragmatic, and able to work independently when required
  • Comfortable with ambiguity – we’re a fast-growing business and there’s always unchartered territories, which is part of the fun. You should be comfortable with it and understand that not everything is 100% defined all the time.
