We are open recruitment and happily inform you that we are looking for candidates to fill the position of Manager, Field Marketing in our company, Smollan (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. For candidates who reside in Petaling Jaya and its neighboring regions, we are looking for you to be a part of us and work in our company office, and able to labor under a full time system.

We have specific requirements for each of our employees as well as potential workers, because we are a professional and knowledgeable business in the field we work in. We are interested in hearing from you as soon as possible if you have expertise in the fields Sales/Marketing & Merchandising and possess a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, & Professional Degree or higher.

We offer you a fairly competitive salary that can be adjusted depending on the credibility you can contribute to our company. It typically ranges from RM 1,600 - RM 3,700 and likely to change at any time. This salary negotiation must be agreed based on our company's HRD agreement.

Job summary

Manage clients expectation and overall Field Marketing operational efficiencies to meet agreed scope of service and clients business objectives

General responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with clients and customers (e.g. prompt problem resolution, report submissions, solicit business expansion opportunities, etc.)
  • Manage departmental operating budgets and costs according to annual allocation vs monthly utilization to ensure efficient usage of resources, where applicable
  • Manage daily, weekly and monthly targets by client/customer accounts. Monitor promotional activities, new innovations, out-of-stocks and forward share
  • Develop project plans by securing feedback from clients/customers and implement agreed tactical activities
  • Implement target analysis, corrective action plans and provide feedback to clients/customers accordingly
  • Manage call cycle schedule and make revisions where necessary. Evaluate call cycle impact against budget and basic conditions of employment
  • Monitor competitors’ activities, potential tenders and update clients. Communicate information to field team
  • Monitor point of purchase standards and ensure field team’s adherence to agreed parameters
  • Develop, implement and manage systems and processes to ensure delivery of business objectives
  • Conduct regular analysis of relevant data to meet milestones. Consolidate periodical reports and present to relevant internal/external stakeholders
  • Obtain operational information from clients/customers and disseminate information to field team

Functional skills and knowledge

  • Demonstrate advanced experience in fast moving consumer goods, field sales and marketing
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Retail/FMCG business and the overall industry
  • Ability to work and deliver under pressure
  • Demonstrate financial and business acumen, analytical and business analysis skills
  • Proven competency to handle confidential/sensitive information in an appropriate and secure manner
  • Strong ability to analyze business challenges and provide appropriate solutions, problem solving; and results-driven
  • Collaborative team player
  • Proficiency in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Soft skills

  • Ability to build good rapport with clients and manage difficult clients
  • Ability to work with diverse cultures and multiple levels
  • Deep appreciation of potentially sensitive matters/situations and the ability to handle such situations
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills with diplomacy in communicating intended messages in a manner that is respectful and positively received
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Master’s Degree, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing, Commerce or equivalent.
  • At least 8 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Preferably Managers specializing in Client Management, Sales – Retail/General or with Service/Agency background.
  • Minimum three years’ experience in a managerial capacity.
  • Full-Time position(s) available.
